When Mr. Bilbo Baggins of Bag End announced that he would shortly be celebrating hiseleventy-first birthday with a party of special magnificence, there was much talk and excitement in Hobbiton. Bilbo was very rich and very peculiar, and had been the wonder of the Shire for sixty years, ever… HEY…WAIT A MINUTE…
This is our true story.
Since a long time ago, we were huge fans of everything related to soldiers, tanks and planes. We were viciously buying our soldiers and, at the park near home, we organized awesome and flawless battles.
They were not very sophisticated but, in our minds, there was much of the world we were about to live. One day, in a little store near home, we saw a little box with a II World War plane painted on it. That was finally a Spit Fire and our first contact with a model.
After that experience and, while going to Juanma’s uncle’s house, we discovered that one of his older cousins collected this kind of planes. He painted them too, so we demanded him to paint his Spit Fire… after the Spit Fire, we gave him a japanese Cero, and a british Harrier, and a flying fortress… till his cousin, sick of us, told us to learn how to build and paint our own models.
Then became Star Wars and Galactica, and then we knew about Aliens and Star Trek, and till then, and after a long trip reading modeling books and magazines, we developped what now is our passion.
Movie Kits is the consequence of years modeling and the friendship of Juanma and David, two old friends who have decided to join forces and skills to do their best modeling.
None of this could have been true without the direction, supervision and approval of our CEO and COO. Despite the glue, paint and resin smell, she has been our best supporter. Thanks Leia!.
To be honest, we definitely have a debt with thousands of people whose generosity is making us a better modelers. That is a debt we want to give back to our community from this modest site.
